Flat actually found

February 20, 2007

After various shenanigans with useless estate agents, Jude & I have actually managed to put down a holding deposit on a flat, with an agency with staff who actually seem to be human beings. It’s on Brighton Road, which for those of you familiar with Stoke Newington is between the High Street and Newington Green, very close to the excellent Shakespeare pub.  Hooray!

I like the Shakespeare but they need to sort out the beer which always kind of tastes a bit metallic to me (and also the price; over 3 pounds for a pint of london pride if my memory’s right).

Yes, it is a bit pricey which the BITE site commenters point out. I’ve always found the beer to be pretty good, though.

In other news- our flat features a garden with a wormery!

Excellent – I’ll bring round all the bags of rotting vegetable waste I normally leave in the street

I love it when you bring me rotting vegetable matter…
