Currently, all the hyperlinks on this blog display a Snap preview when you hover over them. At first, I thought this was a pretty nifty feature, but I’m beginning to think it’s actually kind of annoying, particularly since it prevents you seeing the URL at the bottom of your browser window. What do people think?

yeah good move, it’s weird how many people have decided they’re a good idea recently, i imagine we’ll see lots of people turning them off in the next couple of months. if you click on a link you’re initiating an action, if you press on a submit button you’re initiating an action, if you’re moving your mouse you’re not initiating an action you’re probably on your way to initiating an action and anything that prevents you, or interupts you is breaking the user interface. Anyway, I’ll give you the full version of this rant when i see you next. short version the snap previews are annoying and I blame advertising.

Well I like it a lot actually – it is a real time server.

The preview thing is kind of useful, but that depends on the link- do you really need to see a preview of e.g. BBC News? And do you want a preview every time you hover over a link?
